Privacy Policy

The short version

• You upload a photo of yourself. It is used to make pictures of you in clothes.
• Making those pictures means sending your photo to the AI providers we work with. There is no version of WearIt where that does not happen.
• Your photos and your looks are private to your account unless you share them.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use your photos to train AI models.
• You can delete any of it, at any time.

Who we are

WearIt is the app described on this site. If you have a question about your data, or you want something deleted, email us at privacy@wearit.app and we will get back to you.

What WearIt does

You upload one photo of yourself. We use it to generate a few images of you, and you pick one — that becomes your model. From then on, when you send us a picture of a piece of clothing, we produce an image of you appearing to wear it. Those images are stored privately in your account.

Everything below follows from that.

What we collect

Your account

Your email address, or the sign-in you use from Apple or Google. We never see your password.

Your photos — the sensitive part

• The photo of yourself that you upload, and the model we build from it.
• Pictures of clothing you send us — screenshots, product photos, camera shots.
• The looks we generate for you.
• Pictures of garments you keep in your closet, plus what our AI reads from them — the category, the colour, the pattern. That is a guess about the garment, never about you, and you can correct any of it.

Upload only photos of yourself. Not another person, and never a child. We refuse to generate from a photo where our checks suggest someone may be under 18.

Links you share

When you paste a link, or use our browser extension on a shop, we receive the page address, its title, the image you picked, and the product information the page already publishes. The extension only sends this when you click it. It does not watch what you browse.

How the app is working

Which screens get used, what succeeds and what fails, and crash reports. We never send your photos, or links to them, to our analytics.

What we never collect

Your location. Your contacts. Your browsing history. Your payment details. Health data. Body measurements — WearIt shows how something looks, it makes no claim about sizing, so there is no reason for us to hold them.

What happens to your photos

Making a try-on means sending your photo to the AI providers we work with, and they process it on our behalf. This is how the images are made, so there is no way to use WearIt without it. We tell you this, and name the providers, on a screen you have to read and agree to before you can upload anything.

We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not publish them.

Every image WearIt generates carries a marker identifying it as AI-generated. We deliberately leave that in place.

Who else is involved

Besides our AI providers, we use a small number of companies to run the service — to host the app and its data, to store images, and to tell us when something has crashed or gone wrong. They act on our instructions, under contract, and only for the purposes above.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising. We do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

WearIt is available in many countries, so your data may be handled outside the one you live in. Wherever that happens, we put appropriate protections in place with the companies involved.

How long we keep things

Until you delete them — your account, your photo, your looks and your closet all stay until you remove them or close your account. Short-lived things like sign-in codes and expired share links are cleared automatically.

Deleting in the app is not just a flag. The stored images are removed.

Sharing a look

Nothing you make is public unless you create a share link yourself.

When you do, anyone with that link can see that one image and the date — not your name, your email, where it came from, or any of your other looks. The page says the image is AI-generated. You can switch the link off at any time and it stops working immediately, and links expire on their own.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, withdraw your consent, or get a copy to take elsewhere. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Whatever the law where you are, these are always available:

• Delete your photo — Settings → Privacy.
• Delete your looks — Settings → Privacy.
• Delete your account, or anything else — email privacy@wearit.app and we will take care of it within a month.

Because generating images relies on your consent, withdrawing it means we can no longer make looks for you. It does not undo anything that already happened.

Keeping it safe

Your photos are stored privately — never in a public place — and are only reachable through short-lived links. Everything is encrypted as it travels. We do not log your images or the links to them. We strip camera metadata, including any location, from photos before we store them.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not pretend otherwise.

Age

WearIt is for adults. You need to be 18 or older, and we ask you to confirm that when you sign up. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18, and we refuse to generate images from photos where our checks suggest someone may be under 18. If you believe a child is using WearIt, email privacy@wearit.app and we will remove the account.

Changes to this policy

If we change how your photos are handled, we will ask for your agreement again rather than relying on a notice you might not read.
